Configuring the WB5500 to use a proxy

To configure the WB5500 to use a proxy:

  1. Ensure the proxy setup screens are enabled and reboot the WB5500.
  2. When the Enter PIN to start TCP/IP Configuration message is displayed, specify the clock’s PIN number and press the Enter button. (The default PIN is 1234.)
    The clock’s setup screens are displayed.
  3. Follow the setup screens, entering the appropriate information, until Select Proxy Type is displayed.
  4. Using the green and red buttons, scroll through the proxy types. You can select NONE, HTTP, HTTPS, or SOCKS. Press the Enter button when your selection is displayed.
    • If you select NONE, the WB5500 does not use a proxy server and the proxy setup screens are not displayed.
    • If you select HTTP, HTTPS, or SOCKS, this message is displayed:
      Proxy Address
    1. Specify the proxy server’s IP address, using extra zeros for any octet that is less than three digits. Press the Enter button when finished.
      Proxy Port is displayed.
    2. Specify the port number. Press the Enter button when finished.
