Running the PuTTY top command

The top command displays which threads are currently running on the WB5500 and the memory usage. This information is automatically refreshed approximately every five seconds.

To run the top command:

  1. Open PuTTY and connect to the WB5500 as the admin user.
  2. Specify top.
  3. Press Enter.
The running processes and statistics are displayed. Check that the memory usage is a stable number. If memory usage is escalating, the clock may crash. For details on improving performance, see Troubleshooting.
