Setting the time explicitly

You can specify the time on the WB5500 if the clock does not have a steady connection to an NTP server or the application server. When explicitly setting the time on the WB5500, you must set the time on both the clock’s internal clock and the clock’s operating system.

To set the time explicitly:

  1. Connect to the clock using PuTTY as the root user.
  2. Specify this command:
    /usr/sbin/adapclock set <date_string>

<date_string> is the date in the format [MMDDhhmm[[CC]YY][.ss]]. For example, specifying 093010002007.23 represents 10:00:23 on September 30th, 2007.

  3. Press Enter.
  4. Specify this command:
    date <date_string>

<date_string> follows the same format as step 2.

  5. Press Enter.
The specified time is now displayed on the clock.
