Configuring the timeout

The WB5500 will automatically exit from Administration Mode and return to the idle screen after a defined time limit. By default, this timeout period is set to 10 seconds, however, you can change this setting.

To configure the timeout:

  1. Using WinSCP, open the edc_settings.conf file in the ~admin/java/apps/wbcs/conf folder.
  2. Locate this setting: 
    screen.admintimeout =
  3. Specify the new timeout limit, in milliseconds, replacing the number to the right of the equal sign.
  4. Press Ctrl + S to save.
  5. Press Ctrl + T.
  6. Turn off the clock.
  7. Specify reboot and press Enter.
