Display |
Status LED: a slow flash means the clock has power, the processor works, but there is no connection to the host CPU. A fast flash means additional communication to the host CPU. Reader LED: flashes whenever a badge is swiped through the badge reader. Voltage LED: shows whether the external power source or the battery backup is providing voltage. (On=Yes, Off=No) |

Light Barrier | An infrared sensor is reflected by the wall
mounting plate and is detected by a photo receiver. If the clock is removed
from the mounting plate, this will be detected immediately.
An additional light barrier inside the clock detects any other opening of the clock housing. |

Power Supply | |
Main Power Supply |
|
Optional UPS | Uninterruptible power supply (battery backup)
with rechargeable lithium-ion batteries with 7.2V / 2.2Ah for approximately 4
hours of operation.
|
Serial Ports | The 5V power supply for the two Serial ports is restricted to 250 mA combined. |
Optional PoE 802.3af | The IEEE 802.3af allows power supply units
that transmit 48V and up to 13W over the Ethernet (PoE), either over the data
line or two unused pairs.
The PoE module of the EDT3000 Series terminal can use this source to provide the clock with power, also in combination with a UPS (battery backup) unit. |
Power Saving Mode | The clock is equipped with a time-controlled energy saving mode. |
