Standard inventory classification
The standard inventory classification method of ordering inventory is an alternative to the economic order quantity (EOQ) method. The Product Administration Inventory Classification and Rank Report divides products, except frozen class products, inactive products, and labor products, into one of 13 classes.
The classes are based on user-defined percentages established in SA Administrator Options-Products-Replenishment-Class Percentages or the default percentages are applied. The system’s replenishment functions use the product’s classification when calculating replenishment quantities.
