Setting up Sales Order Fulfillment for users

By default, a user can enter and submit fulfillment orders in Sales Order Entry. Use these instructions to enable the user to override the associated rules and hierarchies, or to restrict the user from using order fulfillment.

You must also set function security for the order fulfillment setup and inquiry functions. No other security settings control access to these functions.

Note: If these conditions are met in SA Operator Setup, the user cannot enter fulfillment orders:
  • Yes is selected for the Restrict to Home Warehouse/Group
  • A warehouse is specified in the Home Whse field
  • The Warehouse Group is blank.

If a warehouse group is specified, the user can create fulfillment orders, but is limited to the warehouses in the group.

  1. Select System Administrator > Setup > Operator.
  2. Select the record in the grid, and then click Edit.
  3. Click Entry Options.
  4. In the OE Entry Options section, select one of these values in the Allowed To Use Order Fulfillment field:
    • Allowed - With Override of Rules Selection

      The user can enter and submit a fulfillment order in Sales Order Entry. The user can override the rules and hierarchies that are set up Sales Order Fulfillment Setup.

    • Not Allowed

      The user cannot create or submit fulfillment orders in Sales Order Entry.

  5. Click Function Security.
  6. Set the security for these functions:
    • Sales Order Fulfillment Setup

      The acronym is OESF.

    • Sales Order Fulfillment Inquiry

      The acronym is OEIF.

  7. Click Save.
