Manipulating prices in Sales Order Entry using margin percentage

If you have the security to change pricing, you can change the margin percentage of a line item on a new or existing sales order.

  1. Select Sales > Entry > Order.
  2. Create or maintain an order.
  3. On the Advanced Line Entry page, complete the line item information.
  4. In the Extended Fields section, specify a value in the Margin % field.

    If you change the margin percentage, the price and net amount in the line changes. In the Extended Fields section, the Discount Percent resets to zero. The Price Origin code, if added to view, changes to override.

  5. Click Add to add the line item to the order.
  6. Complete the order.
