Vendor Setup - Supplier Access field descriptions

Fields are presented in alphabetical order within each section.

Supplier Access

Allow Supplier Access

Select this option to indicate that the named vendor allows the product availability inquiry. If this option is not selected, Supplier Access functionality is not available for this vendor.

Communication Type

Indicate if you want the product availability request transmitted to the named vendor via HTTP or FTP.

Product ID Type

Indicate which Distribution SX.e Product field value should be sent to the supplier with a request. You must have previously established an association between the Distribution SX.e Product number and the value to be sent:

UP - Universal Product Code (UPC) - Set up association in Product UPC Information Setup
BP - Buyers Part Number - Association defaults to Distribution SX.e Product number in Product Setup
MG - Alternate Item Number - Set up association in Product Extended Product Cross Reference Setup
MP - Manufacturer Part # - Set up association in SA Table Code Value Setup and Product Setup
VP - Vendor Part # - Set up association in Product Warehouse Product Setup

HTTP Settings

Password: Specify the supplier's password needed to connect electronically to that supplier's system (up to 60 characters). The password is stored as plain text with no encryption/decryption.
URL: Specify the supplier's HTTP system URL address (up to 255 characters).
User ID: Specify the supplier's user name needed to connect electronically to that supplier's system (up to 60 characters).

FTP Settings

IP Address: Specify the supplier's FTP system TCP/IP address (up to 255 characters).
Password: Specify the supplier's password needed to connect electronically to that supplier's system (up to 60 characters). The password is stored as plain text with no encryption/decryption.
System Code: Specify the FTP System Type Code (such as IBM, VMS) that controls the file name format for the FTP operation.
User ID: Specify the supplier's user name needed to connect electronically to that supplier's system (up to 60 characters).
