Setting up optional replenishment parameters
To streamline the replenishment process, set up replenishment parameters at the company, warehouse, vendor, or product line level in Product Replenishment Setup. These parameters are used by the Product Administration Month End Processing Report when setting ordering controls, or when exception records are created, instead of freezing products when abnormal situations occur. These settings are also used in Purchase Entry Receipt of Inventory when determining safety and lead time review requirements, and by the Product Administration Inventory Classification and Rank Report when ranking products.
- Ensure all warehouse and product records are set up in Product Warehouse Descriptions Setup and Product Warehouse Product Setup.
- Review and set the parameters in Product Warehouse Product Setup-Ordering for all products. Some settings on the Ordering view are identical to settings in Product Replenishment Setup. You are not required to set these up first, but you should review them to determine what settings should apply at the product level versus company, warehouse, vendor, and product line.
