Granting or denying authority

Use SA Grant Authorization Administration to grant or deny authority to the operator for a specific task.

Note:  These instructions assume that the operator accessing the Authorization Transactions window has already been set up in SA Operator Setup and in Authorization – Security with level 3 (Grant Authority) status for a specified authorization point. Use these instructions to grant another operator the authority to perform a task for which the operator is not authorized to do, but which you are authorized to perform. You must have grant authority for a specific function to authorize other users for that function. Only a system administrator can adjust authorization point authority for all operators and all functions.
  1. Select System Administrator > Administration > Grant Authorization.
  2. Specify an operator.

You can also leave the operator field blank to display all points that require authorization, for which you have grant authority.

  3. In the grid, select the authorization point.
  4. Click Grant Authorization to give the operator the authority to access that instance of that functionality. Click Deny Authorization to cancel the function the operator is in if the operator continues.
  5. Close the module.
