Using a token to receive on account

  1. Select Sales > Entry > Order.
  2. In More, select Receive on Account.
  3. Specify the Customer, Warehouse, and Taken By.
  4. In Amount, specify the amount of the payment.
  5. Ask the customer, "What payment type are you using?"
  6. In Payment Type, select the requested card or ACH. For example, Visa.
The Payment Type lists, in sequence, all the payment types for that customer. Payment Types are set up in SA Table Code Value Setup and set up for each customer in Customer Credit Card Setup.
  7. Ask the customer, "What is the cardholder’s name and the last four digits of the card you want to charge to?"
  8. In Payment #/Reference, select the corresponding name and card from the list.
The Payment # lists, in sequence, all credit cards currently on file for this customer, and ship to, if specified in the order. The format is Cardholder Name - LastFour (ShipTo). For example, the list shows John Doe - 1111 (04).

If your customer wants to charge the Receive on Account to a token that is not yet in the system, in the Lookup Credit Cards window, click Add New Card or Add New ACH to connect to the CenPOS web browser, Manage Token form. Complete all required fields.

The Add New Card option is available if you have selected the Prompt for Creating Credit Cards in OE option in SA Administrator Options.

  9. Click Submit.
  10. Click OK to open a journal.
  11. Click Finish.
If the transaction is approved, a message is displayed: Card Approved ************<last four digits>.
  12. A payment message is displayed: Payment Posted, Order # 0000000 Has Been Created. Make a note of the order number assigned to this transaction.
You can verify this order was completed correctly in Sales Order Inquiry. Use Advanced Search to filter by Customer. In the grid, find the order number you noted. Expand the Credit Card Details section.
You can receive money on account for a One Time Sale, also known as instant payment, and a tokenless transaction.
