Sales warehouse on sales orders
If these conditions are met, you can specify a sales warehouse on a new order in Sales Order Entry or Sales Blanket Release Entry:
- Use Sales Warehouse is selected in SA Administrator Options.
- Yes is selected in the Allow Entry of Sales Warehouse field on your operator record.
- The function security for Sales Order Entry and Sales Blanket Release Entry on your operator record is level of 3 or higher.
If these conditions are met, the sales warehouse is valid:
- The sales warehouse is different than the order warehouse. The order warehouse is the warehouse specified in the Warehouse field.
- The sales warehouse has a valid Product Warehouse Description Setup record.
You can specify a sales warehouse on an order that is created or copied in Sales Order Entry. You cannot change the sales warehouse value on an existing order. Instead, you must copy the order, specify the sales warehouse on the new order, and then cancel the existing order.
When you copy an order, the sales warehouse on the original order is copied to the new order. If you copy multiple orders, the sales warehouse from the lowest-numbered order is copied to the new order. You can change the sales warehouse on the Copy-New Information window.
You can specify a sales warehouse when you create a new blanket release in Sales Blanket Release Entry. The value in the Sales Warehouse field on the blanket release is derived from the blanket order, but you can change it.
If Use Sales Warehouse is selected in SA Administrator Options, the sales warehouse values are displayed in Sales Order Inquiry and the Order # Lookup window. You can also use the sales warehouse as search criteria.
