ACH tokens
Use Customer Credit Card Setup to set up Automated Clearing House (ACH) information for a specific customer. This provides a convenient way for you to keep customers’ ACH information on file for quick access. This information is used in Sales Order Entry when you tender a sales order as an ACH payment for that customer. You can set up an unlimited number of ACH tokens for a customer and customer ship to locations. You can also specify the sequence in which ACH tokens are displayed in lookup functions.
When you add an ACH token using CenPOS, you enter the ACH data directly into CenPOS' stand-alone, secure web browser. Then, CenPOS sends back a token. A token is an alias number generated by CenPOS for the ACH number. The token is tied to the actual ACH number, which is stored on the CenPOS server.
To enable tendering during sales order entry, the token process shows the last four digits of the customer's ACH account number. This protection method is called a primary account number (PAN) truncation. The PAN provides a recognizable number during setup and tendering.
You must have previously set up ACH capability with your bank.
