SA Table Code Value Setup - Search (Global) overview
Use this page to customize the format of Elasticsearch-based search results that display on the global search page.
You use standard table field names from the Distribution SX.e code to modify the format of the output.
To obtain the field names, you can use Infor Reporting to run an ad hoc report against the database. You can also use the SX Dictionary Help tool. It is available on the Infor Download Center. You may be required to purchase Infor Reporting and the SX Dictionary Help separately.
When you specify the format, you must place the field names in curly brackets. When a search is conducted, values replace the field names. If a value is not available, the space that is allocated for the value is left blank. You can also add spaces and characters. They are displayed as entered.
This is an example of the global search format for a vendor:
- {vendno} - {name} (Location: {city}, {state})
This is an example of the output:
- 2164 - Grandview Plumbing Distributors (Location: Colorado Springs, CO)
Records for default search formats are included in standard Distribution SX.e. The format is in lower case letters and the repository is typically an acronym.
