Sales Whiteboard Export Data overview
Function acronym: OEWE
Use this function to export sales order information from the order header, line items, and notes records to XML flat files.
Exported files reside on your system until you upload them. The upload process moves the data into the Fulfill Portal Schedule iCenter to produce a list of jobs for scheduling on calendars. Schedule iCenter is a separate application that can be used to track your resources’ activities in distinct locations in your organization.
The export creates three XML files:
- OEWEH.XML, data from the order headers
- OEWEL.XML, data from the order lines
- OEWEN.XML, data from the order notes
These files are stored in the print directory that is specified in SA Company Setup. They are appended with a time stamp that includes the year, month, day and time to distinguish each export from prior days’ exports. Each file is named something similar to oeweh2004112334473.xml. Typically, your dispatcher or warehouse manager imports the data from the XML files at the start of each day. If they cannot access the XML files in the the print directory, your system administrator must move the files to a directory that they can access.
Schedule Sales Whiteboard Export Data to run daily, usually after your sales invoice processing is complete.
Certain order types are never included in the export of sales data, such as lost business orders or lines, and Service Repair Orders (SROs).
