KP Work Order Center Entry overview
Function acronym: KPEW
Use this function to edit and accept outstanding work orders for prebuilt or fabricated build-on-demand kits and to update the On Hand quantity in Product Warehouse Product Setup.
Work orders are created through KP Work Order Center Quick Entry or KP Entry Recommended Purchase Orders. Before initiating the update process, you can change the quantity ordered, unit of measure, and status of the work orders you have created. To display work order ties, click . You can source the kit components, change the quantity shipped and the back order options, and accept, cancel, and print individual work orders. You can also accept, cancel, or delete all work orders, and update balances. When you are finished working in KP Work Order Center Entry, click to save your changes.
Specify a work order number in the Begin Work Order # field to limit the work orders that display. If you leave the Begin Work Order # field blank, outstanding work orders for the current company display when you specify the warehouse that is associated with the work orders you would like to edit. Only those work orders for which no action has been taken to build the kit are listed (Stage 1-Ordered or Stage 2-Printed). You can further limit the work orders that display by specifying an operator’s initials in the Created By field. Select a sort method to sort qualifying work orders by operator initials or work order number. If you sort by work order, you might see a slight decrease in system performance because all active and inactive work orders are considered before the work orders are sorted. Therefore, the sort order defaults to initials because this is the most efficient sort method.
