PD Administrator Price/Costs Update Report ranges and options

Ranges

See Reports - Ranges overview.

You must enter product, warehouse, and product line ranges before you can process this report. The ranges safeguard against a wide-open price or cost change for all products.

Price Type - Blank for No Change

Leave this option blank in almost all circumstances.

Use this option to change a price type for the qualifying records. You can specify the old price type in the beginning and ending ranges, and then specify the new price type in this field.

You can also use this option to assign a subset of a price type. For example, to change a product line to a new price type, use the vendor and product line ranges to define the parameters. Then, specify the new price type in this option.

Rounding Method (U,D,N) Blank for Default

To calculate the new prices and costs, specify the method for handling the rounding differences when calculating new prices.

Specify U for up, D for down, or N for nearest.

To use the default rounding method from SA Administrative Options-Products-Pricing, leave this field blank.

Rounding Target (1-9) Blank for Default

Each rounding target specifies the format of the price and cost changes and determines the number of decimals. This table shows the effects of the various rounding targets on the resulting price. The Rounding Method option determines how the value is rounded.

Price Rounding Target Result
$135.87629 1 $100.00
$135.87629 2 $140.00
$135.87629 3 $136.00

$135.87629 7 $135.8763
$135.87629 8 $135.87629

Target 9 is user-defined. See the next option.

To use the default rounding target from SA Administrative Options-Products-Pricing, leave this field blank.

User Defined Target (Req. for Target 9)

Specify the rounding target. Use this option only if you specified 9 in the Rounding Target option. For example, if you specify .98, the prices and cost values end with that value, such as $1.98, $2.98, and $3.98.

Posting Date

Specify the date to use for the Replacement Cost Date and Standard Cost Date on Product Warehouse Product Setup records.

When you change the costs of a product, a manual balance change record is stored in System Administrator. Through the SA Balance Maintenance Report, you can print all the balance changes made for the products in your inventory.

You can specify -1 to -7 in the day field to go back up to seven days. For example, if you specify **/-7/**, the current date less 7 days is used for the date.

Print All Changed Records

Select Yes to verify that the records were changed correctly. Invalid entries are included on the report.
