SA Event Manager Activate Entry - Activate Events Maintenance overview
This window is accessible when you open an event record. You can view the information about the event or trigger on the Event view. This includes a description of the event, when it occurs, and what you are notified of if you activate this event. The fields on the Event view are informational only. You cannot edit the fields.
Select the Action view to define an action for the selected event. All events in the system have predefined criteria to be met before the system considers that the action has occurred. You can use this view to define additional criteria that the event must meet before an action is taken. You also use this view to define who should receive the action and what the action should be. For example, if a sales order is placed on hold in Sales Order Entry, you can send an email to notify the customer service representative and create an activity for the credit manager to review this order.
Depending on the fields selected when the event was defined in SA Event Manager Event Setup, some of the fields on the Action view may not be shown. Refer to the specific field definitions for more information.
