Suspending and retrieving an order
If you are working on an order and must leave the order open to start another order, then you can suspend the first order. For example, a customer starts to place an order and then stops to answer the phone. You can suspend the order and help the next person in line until the first customer is available. Or, counter personnel can place the order and then suspend it so the cashier can access the order to accept tender.
You can also suspend an order if you must confirm information before finishing an order. For example, when a product restriction error occurs on an order, you can suspend the order to confirm that the Product Restriction Setup records are correct. Otherwise, you must address the error before you finish the order.
