SA Administrator Options - Products - Warehouse Manager field descriptions
- Allow Multiple Products Per Bin
-
Select this option to store multiple products in the same bin location. This prohibits the use of the directed bin put away during pre-receiving. Clear this option if one bin location equals one product.
- Attempt Single Bin Pick
-
Select this option to pick the order quantity for each product from a single bin location only, if the product has no primary bins. If this pick is unsuccessful, then this hierarchy is used: alternate, open assigned, and then open unassigned following the assign pick priority. Clear this option to pick from any bin. This option is ignored if Pick Only Primary Bins is selected.
- Attempt Single Bin Put Away
-
If you select this option and the Directed Bin Put Away is selected in the Purchase Pre-Receiving Report, Warehouse Manager first attempts to put the entire order away in a single bin location. If you clear this option, the instructions for the Fill Primary Bin First option are used.
- Count Committed Stock as Available Space
- If you select this option, the inventory that shows on pick tickets, but has not yet been removed from the bin, is counted as available space if Directed Bin Put Away is selected in the Purchase Pre-Receiving Report and the report is run. Clear this option to ignore committed quantities.
- Delete Transactions When Complete
-
Select this option to automatically delete Stage 4 (Finished) transactions. This includes transactions created in these functions:
- WM Transaction Entry
- WM Entry Replenish Primary Bins Report
- Purchase Receipt of Inventory Entry
- Sales Entry Invoice Processing Report
- Transfer Shipping Entry
- Transfer Receipt of Inventory Entry
Clear this option to retain Stage 4 (Finished) transactions.
- Directed Bin Put Away
-
If you select this option, Warehouse Manager directs the user to a location to store the product after it is received or accepted from a customer return. If you clear this option, Warehouse Manager does not direct the user to a location to store the product. If you are storing multiple products in a bin, directed put away is not valid.
- Fill Primary Bin First
-
If you select this option, the primary location is filled to the maximum quantity regardless of the quantity on hand; then alternate bins, and then open bins. If you clear this option, the primary location is filled only if the quantity on hand is below the minimum quantity set up in WM Bin Location Setup. Instead alternate bins, then open bins are filled.
- Pick only Primary Bins
-
If you select this option, only primary bins are used for picking. In this case, the quantity can temporarily show as a negative number, providing there are available quantities of the product in non-primary locations. Bin replenishment occurs to restock the location. If you clear this option, the primary location are considered, but the quantity can be pulled from elsewhere.
- Refill Open Assigned Bins First
-
If you select this option, purchase order-receiving and warehouse transfer-receiving fill all existing open bins after primary and alternate bins are filled. Open unassigned bins are filled if needed. If you clear this option, open unassigned bins may be filled if other criteria are met.
- Return Available Product to Primary Bin
-
If you select this option, products returned through Sales Order Entry are returned to primary bins by the Sales Entry Pick Tickets Report. If you clear this option, alternate bin types are attempted through the Sales Entry Pick Tickets Report.
- Warehouse Manager in Use
-
Select this option to activate Warehouse Manager to interface with the other functions and track related data. Clear this option to prevent Warehouse Manager from interfacing with other functions. You can disable Warehouse Manager only when no Stage 1-Entered transactions exist in the system.
