Division security by function: Product, KP, and Product Import

This table shows how the division security controls are applied to Product, Kit Production, and Product Import module functions:

Product Warehouse Description Setup	Search results are limited to warehouse records assigned to no division or allowed divisions only and where the Restrict Data Access For IC option is Yes.
Product Line Setup	Search results are limited to product lines with a warehouse and vendor assigned to no division or allowed divisions only. You cannot do a wide-open search; you must specify a warehouse or vendor number.
Product Warehouse Product Setup Product Inquiry Product Warehouse Description Payment Type Setup Product Extended First-In-First-Out Setup Product General Ledger Distribution Setup Product Extended Lot Number Setup Product Extended Serial Number Setup	Search results are limited to warehouse products assigned to a parent warehouse with no division or allowed divisions only and where Restrict Data Access for IC is Yes. This includes hyperlinks to Product Inquiry from Product # in other functions.
Product Administrations Exception Center	Access to transactions is limited to only those with a warehouse associated with a division that is allowed and where Restrict Data Access for IC is Yes. The creation of a Manual List is limited in the same manner. The grid is populated with only those products with a warehouse in an allowed division.
Product Analyze Product Usage Rate Administration Product Adjust Core Allocation Entry Product Adjust Core Vendor Entry Product Unavailable Inventory Entry Product Availability Inquiry Product Tally Bundle Mix Inquiry Product Additional Bin Location Setup	Access to transactions is limited to only those with a warehouse associated with a division that is allowed and where the Restrict Data Access for IC option is Yes.
Product Adjust Core Master Entry Product Core Inquiry	Access to transactions is limited based on the search filter record type: Warehouse: limited to only those with a warehouse associated with a division that is allowed and where Restrict Data Access for IC is Yes. Sales order: limited to sales orders assigned to allowed divisions only and where Restrict Data Access For OE is Yes. Purchase order: limited to purchase orders assigned to allowed divisions only and where Restrict Data Access For PO is Yes. Transfer: limited to warehouse transfer assigned to allowed divisions only and where Restrict Data Access For WT is Yes. Customer: limited to customers assigned to allowed divisions only and where Restrict Data Access For AR is Yes. Vendor: limited to vendors assigned to allowed divisions only and where Restrict Data Access For AP is Yes.
Product Customer Grace Period Setup Product Environmental Handling Fee Exemption Setup Product Restriction Setup	Access to transactions is limited based on the customer or ship to records associated with an allowed division and where Restrict Data Access For AR is Yes. If a transaction contains a warehouse, it is further limited based on the warehouse division and where Restrict Data Access for IC is Yes.
Product Warehouse Transfer Entry	Search results are limited to warehouses assigned to no division or allowed divisions only for either the ship from or ship to warehouse, and where Restrict Data Access For WT is Yes.
Product UPC Number Setup	Search results are limited to records associated with vendors assigned to allowed divisions only and where Restrict Data Access For AP is Yes.
KP Work Order Center Entry KP Work Order Inquiry KP Work Order Version Update Entry	Search results are limited to KP work orders associated with a fabrication warehouse assigned to no division or allowed divisions only and where Restrict Data Access for IC is Yes.
PI Price Cost Multiplier Setup	Search results are limited to price/cost multipliers associated with a warehouse assigned to allowed divisions only and where Restrict Data Access for IC is Yes.

Product Lot Number Master List Report - based on the Product Warehouse Description Setup record and the user’s Restrict Data Access for IC setting.
Product Serial Number Master List Report - based on the Product Warehouse Description Setup record and the user’s Restrict Data Access for IC setting.
Product Warehouse Cross Reference Master List Report - based on the Product Extended Warehouse Cross Reference Setup record’s Assigned and Alternate warehouse, and the user’s Restrict Data Access for IC setting. If the division on either the Assigned or Alternate Product Warehouse Description Setup record is allowed, the cross reference product is included on the report.
Product Warehouse Descriptions Master List Report - based on the Product Warehouse Description Setup record and the user’s Restrict Data Access for IC setting.
Product Line Master List Report - based on the Vendor Setup record for the vendor specified on the Product Line Setup record, and the user’s Restrict Data Access for AP setting. Also based on the Product Warehouse Description Setup record for the optional warehouse selected on the Product Line Setup record, and the user’s Restrict Data Access for IC setting.
Product Vendor UPC Number Master List Report - based on the Vendor Setup record for the vendor specified on the Product UPC Number Setup record, and the user’s Restrict Data Access for AP setting.
Product Warehouse Product Master List Report - based on the Product Warehouse Description Setup record and the user’s Restrict Data Access for IC setting.
Product Hazardous Materials (MSDS) Report - based on the Customer Setup record associated with the internal SM Extended MSDS (SMSEH) record for each product, and the user’s Restrict Data Access for AR setting.

KP Work Order Status Report - based on the Product Warehouse Description Setup record on the KP Work Order Center Entry transaction, and the user’s Restrict Data Access for IC setting.
