CR Reconciliation Rule Setup field descriptions

Fields are presented in alphabetical order.

Check Column
Specify in which column the check number can be found by the system.
Check Position
Use this field if the check number is embedded in a column other than Check Number. You can specify a position within the column that the check number can be found. For example, if the Description field value is “Check # 123”, then the starting position of the check number is 9. You can specify up to two digits.
GL Account
Use for a transaction type that is not already in the system, such as a Charge. This is the GL Account # to offset the bank GL posting for the reconciliation bank. If a GL Account # is specified in the CR Bank Setup record, that number is displayed by default.
Match Text 2-5
Specify additional text to identify the transaction type within the description of the imported bank statement.
Match Type
Select And or Or. If you are specifying match text in Match Text 2-5 fields, select And to match all the strings specified. Select Or to match at least one of the specified strings.
Offset Bank
Use for a transaction type that is not already in the system, such as a Transfer In/Out. If the transaction moves money to another bank, select that bank.
Note: The SA Currency Setup Currency Code value for the bank is shown on the banner. The Currency Code value for the Offset Bank is displayed next to this field.
Offset Type
Field is only available if an Offset Bank was selected. Select a transaction type for the offset. Available values vary depending upon the value in the Transaction Type field. For example, checks, charges, transfers out, and negative adjustments can be offset by deposits, interest, transfers in, and positive adjustments.
Reference
Use for a transaction type that is not already in the system, such as a Charge. Specify a default reference value for manual bank transactions created from this rule. For example, Misc. Fees.
Seq #
Specify a user-defined sequence number. This is the order sequence that the rule is applied. Lower numbers are applied first by the system. If there are duplicate sequence numbers, including zeros, the rules with that sequence number are applied in alphabetical order by rule name.
Use File Reference
Use for a transaction type that is not already in the system, such as a Charge. Select this option to use the value specified in the Reference column of the imported file
