Updating usage for a central warehouse

You must select a method to roll up usage for warehouses set up as distribution centers. The method you select depends on how you manage direct orders and how often a product’s ARP is changed.

See Central warehouse - rollup usage.

  1. Select Product > Setup > Replenishment.
  2. Search for the warehouse record, and then open it.
  3. Click Usage, and then click Edit.
  4. In Parent Warehouse Usage, select one of these options:
    • Select Rolled Up Usage to roll up average monthly usage.
    • Select Normal/Transfer Usage to roll up normal usage that includes warehouse transfer quantities.
  5. Click Save.
  6. At the end of the month, run the Product Administration Month End Processing Report to update ordering controls.
  7. To inquire on the usage amounts for the child warehouses, select Product > Inquiry > Product.
  8. Conduct a search, and then click Replenishment.
  9. If Rolled Up Usage was selected for the parent warehouse in Product Replenishment Setup, click the Usage button.

The usage for each of the child branches is listed. The usage for the parent warehouse product does not include the rolled up usage from the child warehouses.

  10. To view the usage amount that includes rolled up usage:
    1. Select Product > Setup > Warehouse Products.
    2. Open the product record in the parent warehouse.
    3. Click Ordering.
    4. See the Total Rate field.
