Report Viewer context application

Use the Report Viewer context application in Infor Ming.le to manage your reports. When you select View as the Print Type for Distribution SX.e reports and other documents, they are listed in the Reports Viewer context application.

The reports are presented in descending order by date and time. You can click Sort in the Report Viewer app to change to ascending order.

Documents are available in the Report Viewer context application for seven days. We recommend that you save them before they are deleted from the system. You can also manually delete documents from the Report Viewer.

From the Report Viewer context application, you can perform these tasks:

  • Send documents to other users
  • View documents as PDF or text files

If Acrobat Reader is installed on your machine, you can click a document hyperlink to view the document as a PDF file. The document opens in a separate browser page where you can view, print, and save the full document.

To view a document as a text (.txt) file, select Override Output Style to Text on the Report Information screen when you print the report.

Note: If you send a document to View in on-premises Distribution SX.e and it is not displayed in the Report Viewer, contact your system administrator. The PDF Conversion for View and E-Mail option in SA Administrator Options-System must be selected. If the option is not selected, you cannot view the documents in Report Viewer, and emailed documents are sent in a text file. In CloudSuite Distribution, the PDF Conversion for View and E-Mail option is selected by default and cannot be changed.

In CloudSuite Distribution, you cannot send forms with a Print Format of 4 to the Report Viewer. Print Format 4 forms are published and the output is sent to email in PDF format only. When you run a Distribution SX.e report function to produce a form, you must select E-mail as the Print Type. Optionally, you can send the output to a printer that is set up as an email-capable printer or with an email address in SA Printer Setup.

These forms can be printed in Print Format 4:

  • Customer statement
  • Customer invoice
  • Commercial invoice
  • Sales order acknowledgment
  • Sales order bill of lading
  • Sales order pick ticket
  • Transfer pick ticket
  • Value Add pick ticket
  • Delivery notes
  • Purchase order
  • Check

To print select reports' output to text in CloudSuite Distribution, set up the Force Text Output business rule in SA Business Rule Setup. The business rule should be set up for each report that should be output as a text attachment to an email instead of PDF. The Rule Value for the Force Text Output business rule attribute should be set up with each report acronym, separated by a comma. For example, to email customer statements to a third-party forms provider as text output, add the business rule with a Rule Value of ares. When you run Customer Entry Statement Print Report, select a Print Type of Email and specify the third-party provider's email address. All statements that meet the report criteria are sent in a .txt file attachment.

The Force Text Output business rule ignores the setting for the PDF Conversion for View and E-mail in SA Administrator Options-System-Options for any reports that are specified in the Rule Value field. This rule is applied only for reports set up as Format 1 or 3 in SA Administrator Options. It does not apply to Format 4 reports.
