Creating a catalog product from a nonstock order in Sales Order Entry

Catalog products can be created from the Nonstock view in Sales Order Entry. Do this to keep a mini-record of the product containing general information.

  1. Enter an order for a nonstock product in Sales Order Entry.
  2. In the Nonstock view, specify product information.
  3. In the Item Selection field, select Create as Catalog.

    This option is only available if the Catalog Stocked option in SA Administrator Options-Products-Defaults is selected.

  4. Click OK. After you finish the order, you can view the product in Product Inquiry and Product Catalog Setup.
