Pricing a nonstock

Even though nonstock products do not exist in your inventory, you can set up Pricing and Discounting records for nonstock products.

See Nonstock overview.

The price is calculated using the product’s PD Pricing Setup record. If you change the quantity ordered or unit on the line item, the price is recalculated, even when the product is a special price/cost item.

Note:  If the system-calculated price for a nonstock product is zero and no applicable PD Pricing Setup record exists, the price for the nonstock product is not changed.

You can also use cost plus pricing. Cost plus pricing must be specified in the Price field on the line item when it is entered in Sales Order Entry, instead of in the Nonstock view.

The price is calculated using the unit entered on the line.

See Units of measure.

If the unit is changed after the nonstock information is specified, the price is not converted because the unit that is specified for a nonstock is always 1.
