Setting up a default report queue

You can assign reports and report jobs to a default queue to control the printing schedule. This function is useful for resource-intensive reports. For example, you can print Sales Manager reports, scheduled or one-time, at a specific time. If you assign all Sales Manager reports to a default queue, but then later assign a specific report to another queue, the default queue overrides the other queue. The report is printed when the default queue is scheduled to run.

  1. Select Report Scheduler > Administration > Default Queue.
  2. Click New.
  3. In the Procedure field, specify the procedure you want to add to a default queue.

You can use wild cards in this field. For example, if you specify SM*, all Sales Manager functions are assigned to the queue that you specify in the next step.

  4. In the Queue field, specify the queue you want the specified procedures to default to.
  5. Click Save.
