Filling warehouse transfer back orders
The Push Stock On Hand option in SA Administration Options-Documents-Transfer Orders-Replenishment is honored when the Sales Entry Back Order Fill Report fills a transfer if these conditions are met in Product Warehouse Product Setup:
- Warehouse or Central Whse is selected as the ARP type for the receiving warehouse.
- The ARP is the shipping warehouse.
- Push is selected in the Push ? field in the receiving warehouse.
With a push transfer, the shipping warehouse automatically replenishes the receiving warehouse when stock levels require replenishment. The Push Stock On Handoption in SA Administrator Options-Documents-Transfer Orders-Processing determines the level to which the shipping warehouse's stock can be reduced, as it pushes inventory to the receiving warehouse.
Back orders are initially created or adjusted when the quantity that is order is greater than the net available, based on the Back Orders option in SA Administrator Options-Documents-Transfer Orders-Processing. Back orders are filled when additional quantities are received through Purchase or Transfer functions. After back order fill is complete, the put away report prints. This report includes the products and quantities not distributed to tied orders with the primary and secondary bin locations.
If substitute products are received and the critical information is not the same as the product on the transfer, the transfer is not filled and these exceptions appear on the exception report:
- Unit on Line not Valid for Sub/Supersede
- Product cannot be a build-on-demand kit
- Unit conversion must be identical
- Special costing factor must be identical
- Core charges must be identical
- Product price types must match
- Faxing information must be identical
- The DATC charges must be identical
