System administrator identification

During the initial setup of Distribution SX.e in CloudSuite Distribution, you must identify the system administrator in the System Admin User field in SA Administrator Options. Some tasks that are not controlled by SA Operator Setup settings, such as authorization point security for operators, can only be performed by the system administrator. If you do not identify the system administrator, these tasks cannot performed, and Distribution SX.e functionality is limited.

You can also identify a system admin user in on-premises Distribution SX.e, but it is not required. If you specify a system admin user, both the identified operator and the SYS operator can perform the system administrator-related tasks.

Note: To prevent an unauthorized change to the System Admin User field, exercise caution when establishing operator security for SA Administrator Options. If you set an operator’s function security for SA Administrator Options at level 4 or 5, disallow access to the System view unless the operator requires it.
