Product Entry Load/Print Handheld Data Report ranges and options

Ranges

Operator Initials (blank for all)

Specify an operator’s initials to print or load the data records entered into the handheld device by that operator.

Load Data from Handheld Device

Select Yes to load data from the device port. The report will show only the data that is currently being loaded. Previously loaded data will not be included on the report.

Select No to generate a report only. The report will display handheld device data previously loaded as limited by ranges and other options.

Handheld Device Name

Specify the name of the handheld device being used to transfer data. This option is required if you are loading data. The name of the handheld device specified must be set up in SA Printer Setup with these requirements:

  • The Printer Name in SA Printer Setup must be the same name you specify as the Handheld Device Name in Product Entry Load/Print Handheld Data.
  • The SA Printer Setup Type must be the same type you specify as your Device.
  • The SA Printer Setup Device or command must be the port you will be reading data through. For example, /dev/tty10; this may differ depending on your hardware.
Print Handheld Data Report

Default – Yes.

Select Yes to print the data report.

Select No only if you are loading data and do not want to print the report.

Note:  If you select No for this option and No for the previous option, an error message appears.
(R)eceiving, (P)hysical, or (B)oth

Specify (R)eceiving and the purchase order number, vendor, and stage will be validated. Receiving is associated with Purchase Entry Receipt of Inventory. The received quantity is included in the data output. An asterisk appears between the data type and data value for quantity records that do not have a matched product.

Specify (P)hysical and the products are validated in Product Setup and Product Warehouse Product Setup. Physical is associated with Inventory Control entry.

Note:  Any of the three options will work in either Purchase Order or Inventory Control.
