Setting an operator's authorization level

Use these instructions to set an operator’s authorization level for processing a one time return and credit.

You can allow an operator to process a one time return and credit, or set security so the operator must request authorization for the one time return and credit. You must have an Authorization Level of 3 (Grant Authority) to set an operator's authorization level.

You must have previously set up the operator in SA Operator Setup.

  1. Select System Administrator > Administration > Authorization Security.
  2. Specify an operator.
  3. In the Authorization Points grid, navigate to and select Allow One Time Credit Selection.
  4. Click Actions, and select Authorized:.
    • Select Authorized to allow an operator to process a one time return and credit.
    • Select Not Authorized to have an operator request authorization from a supervisor.
    • Select Grant Authority to allow the operator to authorize other users for that function.
  5. In the grid, in the Security Level column, the operator's level changes to Authorized.
  6. Close the module.
