SA Table Code Value Setup - Alternate Product Group field descriptions

The fields are listed in alphabetical order within each section.

General

Group: Specify an alphanumeric code for the alternate product group you want to search for or create. The code can be up to eight characters in length. This value might be defined by the vendor.
Descriptions: Specify a description for the alternate product group code.

Price Type: Specify a default price type for nonstocks included in this alternate product group. This value is validated against the price types set up in SA Table Code Value Setup.
Product Category: Specify a default product category for nonstocks included in this alternate product group. This value is validated against the price categories set up in SA Table Code Value Setup.
Product Line: Specify the default product line for nonstocks included in this alternate product group. If a vendor is not specified, the product line is validated against any product line in Product Line Setup. This value is validated against the product line set up for the specified vendor in Product Line Setup.
Report to Supplier: Select this option to indicate that stock and catalog products assigned to this alternate product group in Product Setup, Product Catalog Setup, or Product Adjust Non-Stock/Direct Order Entry are sent to the supplier in electronic communications.
Ship From: Specify the default ship from for nonstocks included in this alternate product group. This value is validated against the Ship From value in Vendor Setup for the vendor specified.
Vendor: Specify a default vendor for nonstocks included in this alternate product group. This value is validated against the vendor number in Vendor Setup.
