Clearing ordering controls for OAN/DNR products

Order-as-needed (OAN) and Do Not Reorder (DNR) products do not normally carry an on hand balance. The ordering controls are not updated because these products aren’t usually considered for routine replenishment. When a product’s status is changed to OAN or DNR in Product Warehouse Product Setup or the Product Administration Exception Processing Center - Mass Update, the previous ordering controls could remain in place, thus preventing the item from being considered as surplus. To review OAN and DNR products and clear their ordering controls, run the Product Needs Analysis Report.

  1. Select Product > Reports > IC Reports > Needs Analysis Report.
  2. Run a new one-time or stored report.
  3. Complete the applicable fields on the Report Names and Range pages.
  4. On the Options view, specify which type of products you want to review in the O)AN, D)NR, B)oth OAN/DNR, A)ll Products field.
  5. To review OAN, DNR, or both products, depending on the types of products you selected in step 4, before clearing ordering controls, leave the Clear OAN/DNR Ordering Controls option set as No. Select Yes to clear the Line Point/Max, Order Point/Min, Order Quantity, and Order Method fields in Product Warehouse Product Setup-Ordering for the products that qualify based on the criteria you selected for other ranges/options.
  6. Finish the report.
