Maintaining or deleting an operator record

Only an operator with system administrator status can maintain other operator records. You can change settings on a single or multiple operator records.

Note:  In CloudSuite Distribution, you must maintain the security profile in Distribution SX.e after an operator record is created by the automated provisioning process. A security role change on an Infor Ming.le user record does not affect the corresponding Distribution SX.e operator record unless an administrator role is added. Automated provisioning then immediately updates the existing Distribution SX.eoperator record with administrator privileges. When you delete an operator record, the system inactivates all references to that record. Do not delete the R&D operator record. The R&D operator record is used by the system for General Ledger defaults. If you delete the R&D operator, all General Ledger accounts using the R&D operator post to the suspense accounts.

In CloudSuite Distribution, you can delete the operator templates that are used by the automated provisioning process to create new operator records. If you delete a template and the corresponding security role is the only automated provisioning security role assigned to a user in Infor Ming.le, automated provisioning cannot create a new operator record.

  1. Select System Administrator > Setup > Operator.
  2. To list all records within the company, click Search. To limit your search, specify this search criteria:
    • To search for a single operator record, use the Operator field.

      If you are maintaining the R&D operator record, you must specify R&D in this field. You cannot access the R&D operator record using other search criteria.

    • To search for operator records assigned to a specific warehouse, use the Warehouse field.
    • To search for operators that are assigned a Profile, use the Profile field.
  3. To delete a record, select the record and then click Delete.
  4. To maintain records, select the records, and then click Edit.
  5. Make the required changes. If you maintain multiple records, select Do Not Set to retain the original value for the setting on each operator record. Select the Set to change the value in some fields, such as printers fields. If you do not select this option, the original setting on each operator record remains unchanged.
  6. Click Save when you are finished.
