Home and warehouse group security

User access to warehouses in the Sales, Purchase, Transfer, and Job Management entry functions can be controlled by settings in SA Operator Setup. A user can access all warehouses, or be limited to a home warehouse, or a home warehouse and a group of warehouses. These options determine from which warehouses an operator can view and select inventory and copy limitations:

The warehouses that are available to users who create fulfillment orders are also affected by the home warehouse and warehouse group. If these conditions are met, warehouses that are not in the warehouse group are removed from the Warehouse List:

Yes is specified in the Restrict to Home Warehouse/Group field
A value is specified in the Warehouse Group field.

If a user is restricted to a home warehouse only, the user cannot create fulfillment orders.

Note: The Restrict to Home Warehouse/Group setting does not control whether an operator can run reports for a warehouse in or outside of a specified group. It also does not control warehouse maintenance functions outside of the noted modules, such as Product Unavailable Inventory Entry. Use the Function Security settings in SA Operator Setup to manage users' access to those functions.
