Activating the shipping notification event

These Event Manager events are associated with shipping notifications:

  • oe-invshipnote: This event uses the oeepiship trigger to send the shipping notification at order invoicing
  • oe-shippedorder: This event uses the oeesship trigger to send the shipping notification at order shipping
  1. Select System Administrator > Event Manager > Activate.
  2. Specify oeepiship in the Trigger field, and click Search.
  3. Open the event record, and then click Action.
  4. Click New.
  5. Click General Information, and then specify this information:
    • Specify a value in the Who should receive the action? field.
    • Select ION/Alert Workflow as the Action Type
    • Specify the subject line and other text for the email notification. Leave the Email Subject field blank to use the event description as the email subject.
  6. Specify additional parameters on the Range Filters and Additional Filters views.
  7. Click Save.
  8. On the Action view, select the action and click Set Active Flag Yes.
  9. Return to the SA Event Manager Active Entry window.
  10. Specify oeesship in the Trigger field, and click Search.
  11. Open the oe-shippedorder event record.
  12. Click Action.
  13. Click New.
  14. Click General Information, and then specify this information:
    • Select ION/Alert Workflow.
    • Specify the subject line and other text for the email notification. Leave the Email Subject field blank to use the event description as the email subject.
    • Optionally, specify the text that is used to populate the Comment line section of the ION alert. If you leave the optional text blank, the default text for an email notification is placed in the Comment section of the alert.
  15. Specify any additional parameters on the Range Filters and Additional Filters view.
  16. Click Save.
  17. On the Action view, select the action and click Set Active Flag Yes.
