Setting up a Centralized Virtual Terminal Bridge

Configure each device as a client and assign port number 50817.
Note: These instructions do not cover installation of terminals or scanner devices. Because devices supported by CenPOS are subject to change, consult with your CenPOS representative for more information. Bridge installation instructions are also subject to change. Consult with your CenPOS representative for the most current.
  1. Download the installer from: https://www.cenpos.com/download/CentralizedBridge.exe.
  2. Run the executable on the server where you wish to install the Centralized Bridge.
  3. Follow the installation prompts until it is complete.
  4. The Virtual Terminal bridge will run as a service upon completion.
  5. Load the EMV Profile and Test:
    1. Initiate a Socket Connection using the interface of your choice to port 50814. Alternatively, you can use the Socket Server Client tool to initiate the connection and send commands:
      https://www.cenpos.com/download/Tools/socketserverclient.zip
      The Socket Server Client must run on the same Server or device as the Centralized Bridge.
    2. Send the following command:
      Update:US FDC EMV Nashville Platform
      If you are using the Socket Server Client Tool, there will be no feedback in the response.
  6. Configure each device to hold the Centralized Bridge IP Address, so the device can initiate a connection to the bridge, and register the device's serial number upon connection.
