Creating an MSDS sheet

Use these steps to create a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) in Product Hazardous Information Setup.

  1. Select Product > Setup > Hazardous Infor.
  2. Click Create.
  3. Specify a record number for the MSDS sheet.
  4. Select a Language Code.
    If you do not select a code now, you cannot add one later. Codes available in the list are set up in SA Table Code Value Setup-Languages.
    When selling products to foreign customers who require an MSDS, specify the language code to print the MSDS in your customer’s language. If the Language Code field is blank, the domestic language is used.
  5. Click Create & Continue.
  6. Complete Page 1 and click Save.
    Do not move to Page 2 without saving Page 1. Each line provides approximately 64 characters.
  7. The records you create are listed in the grid. Search for a record by sheet number or language code.
