Using Transformation Designer to create data transformations

Transfer Desk Web can be used to transform data before it is transferred.

For example, a rule may add two fields together and place the result in a new field. Transformations also provide the means by which file layouts are mapped, for example, from external data to SSML format. Transformations are attached to profiles.

Transformation scripts contain these sections:

  • Mapping of data elements from external files to SunSystems format or from SunSystems format to external files
  • Assigning of values
  • Definition of functions to transform values
Note: Transformations ignore mappings from SSC and SSC/Payload. For example, if Simple XML format is used, then attributes are excluded from use if they are on a node that is mapped to either SSC or SSC/Payload.
