Transfer Desk Web overview

SunSystems Transfer Desk web and its associated components provide the ability to transfer data internally within a SunSystems database and to transfer data to and from external files.

Functionality includes creating and editing profiles, running transfer processes and viewing the results, editing runtime parameters and managing data files that are stored on a dedicated Microsoft Windows file server.

There are four Transfer Desk web functions:

  • Transfer Profiles (TRP)
  • Transfer Profile Designer
  • Transfer History Viewer (TRH)
  • Server File Management (SFM)
Note: Ensure you have the correct access rights to use Transfer Desk Web.

Transfer Profile (TRP)

Use Transfer Profiles (TRP) to create new profiles and amend runtime parameters.

The information that can be altered from within a profile depends on which elements of the profile have been set to allow overrides at runtime.

Transfer Profile Designer

Use Transfer Profile Designer to create and edit profiles.

Access Transfer Profile Designer from Transfer Profiles (TRP).

Transfer History Viewer (TRH)

Use Transfer History Viewer (TRH) to view the results history of all transfer processes and automations.

Server File Management (SFM)

Use Server File Management (SFM) to upload or download files for Transfer Desk profiles.

Profiles run from SunSystems Web client will only run with files that reference a dedicated repository in a secure server location. Server File Management (SFM) is used to manage the upload and download of files to that repository.

Note: The repository must be on a Windows server.
