Using the TML script editor

As you specify the details for your transformation, you can view and amend the TML source code.

To view the source code:

  1. Open or create a transformation.
  2. Select Change View from the View menu or click Change a Transformation view on the toolbar to display the code in the Script viewer.
  3. Select Change View again to revert to viewing TML details.
  4. To edit the code in script view, from the View menu select Change View or click Change a Transformation view on the toolbar.
  5. Edit the source code as required, ensuring that the code conforms to the XML standards.
    Note: Once you make changes in script view, if there are errors in the code or the code is invalid, you cannot return to the TML Details view.
  6. From the File menu select Save Transformation or click Save a Transformation on the toolbar.
    Note: You can use an alternative text editor to amend the script. To do this copy and paste the script from the TML Script pane into an alternative editor. Once finished, copy and paste the script back to Transformation Designer. When doing this you can only amend the transformation in script view; not when viewing TML Details in the advanced view.
