Overview of Analysis Hierarchy Labels
This document describes how to use the Analysis Hierarchy Labels DJI (Direct Java Interface) component method. It also provides some examples of error messages. This component is available from SunSystems v5.1.5 onwards.
You can run this component from within Transfer Desk and Automation Desk.
This component replicates the SunSystems Connect SASI AnalysisHierarchyLabels CreateOrAmend method as far as possible. This executes a subset of the functionality in the SunSystems Analysis Hierarchy (ANH) function.
The SASI and DJI methods allow you to define an analysis hierarchy, for an analysis dimension, and set up the analysis hierarchy codes.
You can use an analysis hierarchy to reclassify the analysis codes for a dimension to provide a second, higher level of analysis for reporting purposes.
For example, you might have defined analysis dimension codes for sales areas and wish to summarize into sales regions. Or, you might have defined analysis dimension codes for products and wish to summarize into product category.
You can define more than one analysis hierarchy for an analysis dimension. For example, you may want to group the products in the product analysis dimension, by product category and by product size.
This component has been designed to support business requirements that need the creation or amendment of Analysis Hierarchy Labels and Codes in high volumes.
