Miscellaneous Permissions Setup - SDM Analysis

  1. Specify this information:
    Apply Restrictions - Static Data Maintenance
    Use these options to determine whether members of this user group require permissions to view and update the details of ledger analysis dimensions 1 to 10. The options available are as follows:
    • Update: The Update options determine whether this user group must comply with, or ignore, the assigned Data Access Groups (DAG) when entering or modifying the details of each analysis dimension in Analysis Dimensions (AND).
    • View: The View options determine whether this user group must comply with or ignore the assigned data access groups when inquiring on the details of each analysis dimension in Analysis Dimensions (AND).
  2. You can apply the Update restriction to an analysis dimension without necessarily restricting View. In other words you can allow this user group to view an analysis dimension, but not update it. However, the reverse is not true; if you apply restrictions to View an analysis dimension, then the restrictions must also be applied to Update it. This is because you cannot modify an analysis dimension without first inquiring on it and viewing its details in Analysis Dimensions (AND).
