Report folders
In Report Manager, you can
create new folders to contain shared files such as reports accessed by groups of users and
design templates, as well as other folders.
These types of folders are available:
- A central files folder that is only visible to the Report Administrator.
- Folders that are visible from within Report Manager to all users who are members of the User Groups who have been granted access to the folder.
- Personal folders that are visible to the Report Administrator but, are only visible to the individual user from within Report Manager.
A personal folder is identified as the My Reports folder belonging to a Reporting user.
You can perform these folder-related actions:
- Create a new folder by selecting from the Toolbar.
- Create a new personal folder by selecting from the Toolbar.
- Rename a folder by selecting a folder in the right hand pane, and then clicking the button.
- Copy a folder to another folder by selecting a folder in the right hand pane, and then clicking the button.
- Move a folder to another folder by selecting a folder in the right hand pane, and then clicking the button.
- Search for an item within the folder by using the global search option. The rows that satisfy the search are displayed along with the location path of the rows found.
