Searching for and replacing components

You can search for a component that has already been used in a bill of materials.

  1. Select Bill of Materials (BOM) from the SunSystems menu.
  2. Select a Parent Item Code.
  3. Click OK.
  4. From the Action menu select Find and Replace.
  5. Specify this information:
    Component Item Code
    The component item code you want to find or replace.
    Replace With
    Specify the component item code to replace the component with.
    Approval Status

    Specify the status of the bill of materials to be searched for by checking one or more of the following check boxes: Approval Unset, Approved, and Rejected.

  6. Click OK.
    The component item is either found or found and replaced.
