Dealing with Failed Postings
A ledger posting may fail at either of two stages.
When a ledger posting is performed from an Order Fulfilment transaction, and so a journal is created in Financials, it carries out the following two stage process:
- The transaction creates a record affirming that a ledger posting must be performed.
- The ledger posting details are created, and then posted to Financials, and a journal is created via Ledger Import.
A ledger posting may fail at either of these stages.
After this process has been run, you can use a control desk to identify any failed postings. You can then review these postings and amend as required, so that they can be posted successfully to the Financials module.
Select Recover Failed Postings (RFP) from
to display a selection of parameters form which enables you to select a range of dates for the transactions, or to select all the available transactions. Click .Unposted Ledger Details
The Unposted Ledger Details form shows details of the failed ledger postings for the parameters entered on the previous form. It also shows the reason for the failure.
