Assigning Characteristics to a Batch

You can assign characteristics to a batch of items by using Item Batch Assign Item Characteristics (ITB). Each batch can inherit one or more characteristics of its parent item.

Note: The Item Code and Batch Reference combination must already have been defined using Batch Reference Setup (BRS).
  1. Complete this information:
    Item Code
    The identifying code for the item.
    Batch Reference
    The reference of the batch.
    Characteristic Code
    The identifying code for the characteristic. This must have already been set up using Item Characteristics (ITC) and must already be assigned to the item by using Item Master Assign Characteristics.
    Value From
    The lowest alphanumeric value allowed for this characteristic, if the type of data is set to alphanumeric range.
    Value To
    The highest alphanumeric value allowed for this characteristic, if the type of data is set to alphanumeric range.
    Discrete Value Numeric
    Allowable numeric value for the characteristic.
    Discrete Value Alpha
    Allowable alphabetic value for the characteristic.
