Movement Types (MTS) - Whole Processing

Note: When Whole Orders Only is enabled for a Movement Type and the movement type has picking or dispatch stages:

By default, the pick list and dispatch notes are sorted by location and separate transaction references are generated for each location. This would mean that if the order lines were fulfilled from receipts in different locations then more than one pick list or dispatch note would be generated. These transactions could not be pick confirmed or dispatch confirmed as each pick list or dispatch note would not contain the whole order.

To enable whole order processing for a movement type, two things are required:

  1. A new report layout is required for the pick ist and dispatch note. These must sort the data by order reference and provide for the generation of the transaction references at this level.
  2. On the document format codes, the pre-printed sequence on the document tab must not be set to Normal Printing. This will override the default generation of the transaction references in the generate process and force it to be done by the printing process instead.
  1. Specify this information:
    Whole Order Only
Select to enforce whole processing for movement orders using this movement type.
    Whole Line Only
Select to enforce whole processing for movement order lines using this movement type.
    De-allocate if Whole Fails
Check this check box if you want the allocation to be de-allocated if whole processing fails.
    Enforce Qty Ctrl at Processing

If Whole Order Only or Whole Line Only have been selected, you must specify the stage when this is to be checked. Options are:

    • Order Confirmation
    • Batch Process - that is, picking, picking confirmation, dispatch, dispatch confirmation, and receipt entry stages
    • Not Applicable
  2. Save your changes.
