Creating Initial Data Publication Filters

As part of Integration Data Management (INM), you can add publication filters for data entities. There may be data that you do not want to publish to downstream systems, for example, data that is no longer actively used in SunSystems.

To add a publication filter for a data entity:

  1. On the Data to be published form, select the relevant row in the grid, and click Add Publication Filter.
    Note:  You can add a publication filter for Analysis Dimensions and Analysis Codes, but not for other data types.
  2. The Initial data publication filters form is displayed. This form displays the filters already created. Click Amend to create or amend filters.
  3. The Select Dimension Page form is displayed. This form allows you to apply a filter for each analysis dimension that exists in the business unit of the selected data entity.
  4. Check the check box in the Include column to filter the published data by a dimension.
  5. Click Exit to save the filter selections and view them on the Initial data publication filters form.
  6. Click Exit to save the filter for the data entity.
  7. The Data to be published form is redisplayed. The Filter Set check box column displays a check for each data entity that has a publication filter applied to it.
